As part of our inaugural CSR events for 2024 in Brazil, we organised a meaningful day on 4th February 2024, for approximately 30 children, aged 8 to 17, and their parents from the NGO Prevela (@prevelaoficial).
Prevela, reliant on external donations, has played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of children from less privileged backgrounds offering them opportunities to learn aquatic sports activities such as sailing, kayaking, canoeing, as well as practising environmental protection and craftsmanship. By teaching these skills, Prevela not only opens doors to new possibilities but also serves as a deterrent to the allure of drug trafficking and other harmful behaviours prevalent in some of these communities.
Prevela also holds a particularly special significance for Guilherme, our LATAM Managing Director, since it has taught him the art of sailing. In return for the invaluable lessons he received, Guilherme has remained devoted in his dedication to contributing to the growth and development of this NGO.
As we reflect on this transformative experience, we are reminded of the power of collective action and the profound impact we can have when we come together for a common purpose. Our initiative to support Prevela, therefore, takes on added significance, as it aligns with our values of empowerment, community building, and social responsibility.
As we look to the future, let us continue to champion causes that uplift and empower the most vulnerable among us. Together, we can build a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances.
